Monolith CX 70-3 belongs to the group of cyanoacrylate adhesives. They are single-component, solvent-free adhesives that polymerize very quickly in reaction with moisture in the air. They are used to connect a wide variety of materials, such as elastomers, plastics (thermoplastics and thermosets) and metals. The time needed for the adhesive to harden depends on the air humidity, the thickness of the adhesive layer, and the surface. Therefore, the use of Cyanoacrylate Monolith® adhesives requires that the joint be relatively small and flat. A thin layer is obtained by pressing the parts; then the complete hardening of the glue takes place in a matter of seconds to minutes.
