Monoflex MS 611-1 is a single-component, silane-modified polymer based adhesive / sealant, applied with a gun. It is a hybrid material. It is applied with a gun, hardening by reaction with moisture on an elastic mass. Monoflex MS 611-1 is free of solvents, isocyanates, silicones and PVC and is odorless. It shows good adhesion to many substrates without priming and is paintable.

Monoflex MS 611-1 is a one-component, silane-modified polymer based adhesive / sealant, applied with a gun, curing by reaction with moisture on an elastic mass. Skin formation and curing times depend on humidity and temperature, and cure times also depend on the thickness of the joint. These times can be shortened by increasing the temperature and humidity; low temperature and low humidity delay this process.
Monoflex MS 611-1 is free of solvents, isocyanates, silicones and PVC and is odorless. It shows good adhesion to many substrates without priming and is paintable. The adhesive / sealant also has good resistance to ultraviolet rays and can therefore be used on both interior and exterior surfaces.
Monoflex MS 611-1 obtains the strength necessary for flexible connection. It shows excellent resistance to UV rays. The mass is paintable, does not show shrinkage, therefore no surface pits or tensile stresses are observed under these conditions. Monoflex MS 611-1 has a high viscosity and does not drip, strongly bonds the glued parts immediately after joining, and therefore in many cases no additional fixing of the parts to be glued is needed.
Monoflex MS 611-1 is recommended for the following purposes:
- flexible, anti-flutter fastening of metals and plastics (plate stiffening, roof sheathing, etc.);
- permanent, flexible joining of glass with metal (for applications in construction, shipbuilding, boatbuilding, technological vehicles);
- flexible fastening of wooden plywood to a metal deck in the shipbuilding industry;
- flexible sealing of seams and joints on internal and / or external surfaces in the following areas: car bodies, railway carriages, containers and metal structures;
- machine manufacturing, electrical industry, plastics industry, air conditioning and ventilation
Good adhesion to thin sheets (raw surface degreased, phosphated, electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, chrome-plated or painted), stainless steel, brass, aluminum (raw, anodized or painted), glass, polyamides, PVC, injection-molded polyurethanes, polyester , ethylene-propylene dimers (EPDM), most thermoplastic mixtures (testing is recommended, surface matting always improves adhesion). Depending on the substrate, it may sometimes be necessary to apply a primer to create or improve adhesion (if required, we will provide the necessary information).
When bonding or sealing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), such as Plexiglass® or Perspex®, and polycarbonates such as Makrolon® or Lexan® in tensioned condition, stress corrosion cracking may occur. In such cases, Monoflex MS 611-1 should not be used. After appropriate treatment, it has excellent adhesion to PE, PP, PTFE (eg Teflon®).
Tests should be carried out on substrates not listed above.
