THIXOFIX

Thixofix Contact Adhesive has been developed to be an easy-to-use, multi-purpose adhesive with high tack and non-drip properties. Its purpose is to simplify the bonding of laminated plastics to wood and other substrates while maintaining the proven performance and strength of conventional contact adhesives.
Thixofix Contact Adhesive has the appearance of a gel which has been developed to be easy to apply with a notched trowel that provides the right amount of adhesive to the materials used. Ideally suited for use on vertical surfaces without the risk of adhesive dripping or running off. The layer will stay in place throughout the application, allowing accurate positioning of materials. It is possible thanks to the exceptional slip properties of Thixofix to ensure the correct final finish of the bonded joint. It also eliminates the leakage and clutter usually associated with regular brushable contact adhesives.

Typical Applications:

     • Bonding laminated plastics to wood, fiberboard, chipboard etc .;
     • Bonding ABS, cork, rubber, leather, fabric, wood, painted and unpainted metal, fiberboard, plaster, plasterboard, chipboard;
     • Bonding fibreboards and acoustic tiles to suspended or vertical surfaces such as dry cement / sand plaster.
