Monolith® PEPP is a two-component acrylic adhesive that bonds many plastics with low surface energy, including various types of polypropylene and polyethylene, even without special surface preparation. Monolith® PEPP can replace in many applications: screws, rivets, ultrasonic welding and other adhesives requiring two-stage surface preparation processes (etching and priming).
It is a hybrid adhesive system, which means that two different chemical reactions take place. One of the reactions results in a rapid achievement of high strength as well as excellent cross-linking of low energy surfaces, while the other, slower reaction is responsible for the polymerization and cohesion of the adhesive.
Monolith® PEPP is impact resistant and has excellent adhesion to difficult-to-bond surfaces such as PP, PE, Teflon, EPDM. The adhesive has a very good resistance to moisture and most media.
The product is highly resistant to humid and warm conditions. It also has high resistance at room temperature to acids, alkalis, antifreeze agents, and alcohols. In direct sunlight and in outdoor conditions, the product may turn yellow and crack. This effect is strongly dependent on the bonded material and the influence of media (e.g. water, salt, etc.).
Excellent adhesion to difficult-to-bond materials, without surface preparation.
It connects with each other and with each other:
