Monolith EP 2501-1 is a two-component epoxy resin adhesive that cures by chemical reaction to transparent plastic. The curing time depends on the ambient temperature and the temperature of the substrates. These times can be shortened by increasing the temperature; low temperature delays this process. The curing time does not depend on the depth or thickness of the joint, but is related to the amount of material: a large amount of material hardens faster due to the exothermic nature of the reaction.
